P.S.

This is another little blog just to point out in the last picture of my last blog, notice how she's smiling but her mouth is shaped a little like a circle. She's saying "Boo!" (which tends to sound more like, "Baou!") Eden LOVES saying BOO and trying to scare people. She will take any chance she can to sneak up on someone when they aren't looking, they are sleeping, or just sitting there. She'll often say boo to me when I come around the car to get her out of her carseat, when I come to get her after naptime, or when playing peek a boo behind her blankie. It's SO cute and I love it!

Here are more pictures to prove my point...

What's Happenin'

Lots has happened this past week. Here are some of the latest happenings:
  1. I finished sewing a dress for Eden. It is really cute and we (Tyson's mom and I) made a headband to go with it. I couldn't get a very good picture of the dress unfortunately, but here it is.
  2. I've decided to try and help Rachel make a dress for her (unborn) little girl. I'm not sure if it will be as successful without help from my mother in law, we shall see.
  3. Tyson and I found out that Eden doesn't like cats. WONDERFUL! (This cat found its way into our picture and was circling Eden...she wasn't too happy.)
  4. Eden learned how to go from sitting to standing by herself (with the help of furniture).
  5. Eden also learned how to crawl up stairs. Just like anything else that takes effort, she needs to be HIGHLY motivated to do it.
  6. Tyson's been doing lots of finals and keeping busy but once it's all done we will be able to go to St. George. WAHOO!
Also, yesterday I decided to take Eden outside and take a few pictures just for fun. Here are a few of them.

Something is Wrong Here...

So....what month is it again? I think someone needs to inform the weather that it's April...cause I don't think it knows.

This is what I woke up to this morning. A friend from the ward said that she measured this morning...14 INCHES!

On the positive side, it sure makes the trees pretty...and look at that blue sky. It's melting pretty fast.

But on the negative side...there was one tree that didn't make it. The snow was so heavy that it KNOCKED OVER the tree in the front yard. It was such a beautiful tree. It actually uprooted the whole tree...

Here's my husband trying to get to school on time. I stood on the side and took pictures of him...I'm such a big helper.

And to make things even more sad and seem more like winter...Eden got really sick yesterday. She had a fever that went up to 101. She was really cuddly and needy for mom most of the day...and she slept a lot as well. I think her favorite part was the baby Tylenol...man, she could have eaten that all day long. She thought it was very tasty and looked forward to being able to take it every 4 hours. Lucky she's feeling MUCH better today.

"I've Had Diarrheas Since Easters!"

Name THAT movie? No prizes this time, sorry. But everyone around here sure had fun saying that line on Easter. So, here's my wonderful Easter weekend in a nut shell...or should I say EGG shell (haha...oh man, I've reached a new low on "bad jokes").

Alright, here our Easter weekend, in picturebook format (meaning...there are MANY pictures, so consider yourself warned).

Tyson's family likes to do Easter Saturday morning where they hide the basket and we find them. You aren't allowed to wake up the parent's until ALL baskets are found. Very clever of them. But we surprised them by dressing Eden up like a bunny (that was her Halloween costume).

We found our basket and it had a book for Eden that plays primary songs about Jesus, a box of KIX, and Easter candies.

We woke up mom, dad, and Hayden after finding our Easter basket by having Eden jump on them like a bunny. She got a look at herself in the mirror and thought she was pretty funny.

Then it was time to get down to business, head for the candy. She was actually really good and only ate the KIX, she enjoyed putting the candies in and out of the basket though. We then headed to my parent's house.

This is Alyssa and Ben. They tricked us into thinking we were gonna have a great, leisurely day before Easter Saturday. Instead we spent all day helping them move into their new house. It became before Easter slave labor day. Just kidding. We didn't mind and glad we could help.

This is the house that Alyssa and Ben moved in to. And that's my husband walking up EAGER to help.

This is one of my "Goliaths" in life that I have decided to conquer...the sewing machine. Tyson's mom started teaching me to sew and we thought it would be perfect to make Eden an Easter coat to go with her dress that was bought for her ages ago. (This actually is a picture of my NEW SEWING MACHINE! After my mom found out that I was learning to sew she pulled out an extra sewing machine that she had and gave it to me! THANKS MOM!!!)

This is my finished product. It took a lot of time, more than it should have...but I'm learning. It was a great experience and a BEAUTIFUL coat...and I'm currently working on another little outfit for Eden.

This is Eden with her coat on. Isn't she cute? It's a little on the big side and will probably fit better next year.

We were so impressed that she kept that headband in ALL DAY! We try to put things in her hair all the time and she'll take them off instantly. For some reason she must have realized that Easter is important and she was fine with her headband!

This is Eden's dress...although she has a bib on in this picture so you still can't see it well. Too bad. But we just thought she was so cute that we had to take millions of pictures of her.

This is Eden and mommy. I left my make up at my parent's house and used Kylie's make up. Sigh...I can never come back from my parent's without leaving at least ONE thing.

On Sunday we painted eggs. Tyson makes me sick..look at how amazing his egg looks.

These are everyone's eggs. Mine's in the back with the green and pink doodles. That's as far as my creativity takes me.

Later we went on a walk around the block in the Finlinson's new wagon that Tyson's mom bought at a really good price and Tyson's dad spent HOURS putting together.

We put flowers in her hair during the ride. Eden loved to pick off the petals. Isn't she such a cute baby?

Anyhow, that's my Easter weekend.

1 Asian + 1 White Guy = a Mexican?

So, my little girl LOVES Mexican food. Beans, rice, salsa,...pretty much any type of Mexican you stick in her mouth is an automatic favorite. Yesterday she reached a new level of love for Mexican. I was making chicken enchiladas and they had quite a KICK to them. They called for chipotle in adobo sauce....but I decided to make up my own by using jalapenos and hot sauce. I must have put a lot in because it was SPICY! Anyhow, Eden started to get frustrated with me cooking and not paying attention to her, so I gave her some pieces of chicken covered in this spicy sauce. She thought it was the greatest thing ever! In fact, when it was all gone and I took the bowl away, she got upset at me! Man, who could have thought that if you mix an Asian and a Caucasian...you get a Mexican!

p.s. So, Tyson just reminded me of a "fulfilled prophecy" given by the former Annie Valoola Jacob. When we went to Jorge and Mary's wedding reception there were a few hispanic children running around. Annie turned to me and said, "Oh! You and Tyson's kids will look like that!" We laughed and Tyson said, "Yeah, except they are Mexican!" Lo and behold, Annie was right...we apparently make Mexican babies.

Also, right now is going to be the FIRST EVER BETHANY BLOG GIVEAWAY!!

I still have that same Christmas song in my head (the one that was in my head a few posts ago). I decided to make a game out of it. Whoever can first write me a post and tell me what movie this song comes from, I'll give them a plate of cookie, goodies, bread...or something of that nature. (NOTE: This game is only going to be for those who live near me or my family in Taylorsville cause I just don't think they will taste as good and I don't have the money to send goodies out by mail...sorry.)

Here's the line of the song that's been repeating in my head over and over:

It's in the singing of a street corner choir.
It's going home and getting warm by the fire.
It's true wherever you find love,
it feels like Christmas!

Happy, Happy, Happy

I found my camera! WAHOO! Wanna know what else is exciting?

Eden CRAWLS! It's official. No more of this "army crawl/belly flop" that she would do before....although at the end of this video she did do a little belly flop...but that's not normal. She did that just because I had the camera and so she makes sure to not show off her talents, not smile, etc. when I have the camera out. Go figure.

Most people think, "oh no, she moves...she's gonna be trouble." But she hasn't been trouble yet (notice the word, "yet"). Eden is the same as before...she needs to be HIGHLY motivated to move on her own and she's a people person so doesn't like to go places by herself with at least one person close by.

I'm Sad...

So, I lost my camera. This makes me sad. What is a blog entry without any pictures? A sad blog entry. So, here is a sad and pictureless blog entry.

And I've had a Christmas song stuck in my head for days. Probably because it's snowing. Who came up with the idea to have snow in April? Goodness...
