Summer Time!

The Elder's (family friends of Tyson's) have been nice enough to let us swim in their pool. Not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES this week. Not even just "this week" but three days in a row. We've been loving it!

Tyson's still in school this semester but it hasn't stopped us from acting like it's summer. Our thought is that we'll soon be moving away from our family and friends, so we should use this time to spend with them as much as we can and do things that we won't be able to do when we go to Kansas City.

Eden loves the pool and is always ready to jump in (even with her clothes on). Her favorite game has become "sit on the edge and when mommy says 'go', then jump into her arms". She also loves playing with the balls in the pool. When Lydia and her friends came over to swim, her favorite game became "go around to each person and bonk them on the head".

These are pictures I stole from Barb Elder off of HER blog (all but the last one). Can you see that horrible tan line of mine? Yeah, I'm trying to get rid of that too...I'm such a cheese...
Daddy and Eden. Notice that Eden's feet are up on Tyson. Eden LOVES to put her feet up, especially when she's eating. She'll often have at least one foot up on the table while eating.
This slide is funny. I can't seem to get it right, although others can. So, this picture may have the appearance that I'm MOVING...I don't think I was at that point...
Here's Aunt Lydia and friend, Rylie, playing with Eden.
This was my favorite part of swimming. It would wear Eden out after not too long of swimming and she would love to cuddle with me as I walked around the pool. It's not often she's cuddly, so I take advantage any time I can. :)

Sneaky Sneaky

Tyson and I decided to eat dinner and watch a movie in the basement. We gave Eden some dinner to eat as well. When she was being nice and quiet we just figured she was eating her food like a good little girl. Lo and behold, the sneaky little devil had found a stash of Oreo cookies and was eating quietly on the side of the couch so mommy and daddy wouldn't catch her. Sneaky sneaky!

Also, Eden's been loving her birthday presents. Every day she walks around with her shopping cart, pretends to eat the play food, gives the food to others to eat, feeds and puts baby to bed, and loves sitting in her rocking chair.

Brittany gave her this cute little outfit she is wearing. Its perfect for the summer time and SO cute! Thanks so much for the wonderful gift!

Happy Birthday Eden!

Eden is one year old! Where does time fly?! She had a wonderful/busy day. We were able to get pictures taken at Kiddie Kandids, have a party with family, eat BBQ, open presents, eat cake, and finish it up with a tubby time. Apparently it was a very exhausting day for her because she's still asleep (woke up once to eat and go back down) and it's almost 11:30.

These are here presents that were almost all bigger than she was.

This is a picture of her little, adorable, panda bear cake that we made...well, I didn't make it...
Tyson actually decorated the cake, believe it or not, he's much better at that kind of stuff than I am. He did a pretty awesome joHere is Eden opening presents (notice how big the present is compared to her). She got a ball, doll (with bottle, blankie, and rubber duck), shopping cart, play food, play kitchen set, clothes, musical toys, rocking chair and baby blanket. Helping her open presents are cousins Trey, McKell, and Brayden...they were MORE than happy to help.
Sitting in the rocking chair feeding the baby.
Eating corn on the cob and beans. She LOVED the food and was kind of sad to stop eating to have some cake.I wanted to get a picture of Eden and her cake but she just kept reaching to grab it. She wasn't sure how to go about eating it even after she had tasted some frosting and realized how delicious it was. She would pick at the ears and face to get a little frosting here and there. Then she would occasionally try and stick her whole face on the bear. When she realized the nose and eyes were made from M&Ms she politely took them off and handed them to dad.Taking a tubby in the kitchen sink after getting so dirty.
Overall, it was an AWESOME day. Eden loved it all and got much more spoiled than we planned on spoiling her!

Dolls Have Blankies Too

Eden loves her blankie. She also loves dolls and her doll house. Eden recently discovered that these little plastic dolls with little plastic beds also have blankies. She used to just place the people, her favorite being a lego zoo keeper that obviously doesn't belong to the doll house set, on the bed so they could go "night night". Today I showed her that the attached to the bottom of the beds are little blankies. I wish everyone could have seen the excitement on her face to realize that these little plastic dolls had blankies too. (Notice her favorite green blankie is on the ground with her.) Wow. It was adorable. Unfortunately, for her little hands and coordination skills it was difficult to lift up the blankie, put the doll inside, tuck the doll in, and say "night night". But she succeeded...kind of. This video makes me laugh and I hope you guys can see it well and think its as funny as I do. She tries so hard and you can almost see the little wheels in her head turning as she tries to figure it out and then she's looks so happy in the end when she does it.

St. George Trip

Our little family took a trip to St. George a while back with some friends. We had a lot of fun playing games, shopping, and just hanging out. I unfortunately didn't take as many pictures as I would have liked. Tyson and I had planned on going hiking with them on the way back, but we weren't able to. I think we missed out cause I haven't been hiking in a long time. Instead we were able to visit an old friend of Tyson's. I hope everyone had as good of a time as I did. I'm gonna miss all my friends when we move to Kansas City. Below is a picture of a frog I caught also. I just saw him outside the condo and I decided to catch him, take a picture, and let him go. He was cute though. :)
