Good Reading

A friend of mine wrote on her blog to read the blog of a lady named Sherrie Johnson because it's amazing. And this morning I looked at it and it truly is incredible. Sherrie Johnson is in my ward. Since I just moved in, I don't really know her but Tyson knows her and her family well. As far as her background he told me that she is a BYU religion professor and is absolutely brilliant (and coming from Tyson...that is quite a compliment).

This month Sherrie discovered that she has a brain tumor. Her blog as of lately has been about some of her experiences dealing with this tumor (that she calls "Grizelda"). I would recommend reading this and since blogs start with the most recent, I would go to the one titled, "Time to Practice What I Preach" (December 11) because that is when she finds out about the tumor. But honestly, if you have some time, I find it amazing to read what she writes even BEFORE the tumor. She has so many amazing insights on life and the gospel.

Her blog is: sherriejohnson.blogspot.com

And for those of you who haven't heard my testimony, here is it:
I do know that the church and its gospel are true, the Book of Mormon is true, Joseph Smith was a prophet, President Monson is our true and living prophet on the Earth today, and Christ lives. My testimony may be pretty basic but without these basics truths I wouldn't be where I am today. I often fall short of who I should be, so thank goodness for the atonement that can put me back in line when I fall. I can honestly say that my life has more meaning, more importance, and more happiness when I'm following Christ's teachings and the Spirit. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Brittany Andersen Photography

So, a wonderful friend of mine is a photographer and she really is AMAZING. She has a new website up at www.brittanyandersenphotography.com and to celebrate she is having a giveaway. To find out more about the giveaway, it's at http://brandonbrittany.blogspot.com . While I do love giveaways...more importantly Brittany really is a great photographer. She was nice though to take pictures of Eden for free when she was about a two months old just to try some new stuff she had been looking into. Since then her pictures have done nothing but go UPHILL. Seriously. Here are some of the pictures she took of Eden. (And for the record...these pictures aren't as good as the other ones I have seen lately on her blog and website. When she took mine she was messing around with some new things.)

Eden's First Snow!

Eden, Tyson, and I had a GREAT time in the snow this morning! We loved playing! Eden was a little confused at what was going on and couldn't keep her eyes off the snow most of the time. It was a lot of fun! I love my little girl. Eden made a snow angel, played in the snow with her little mittens, ate some snow, and Eden and I got a sled ride while Tyson pulled us along. :)

No Longer "The Grinch"

I decided to erase my previous GRINCH post and replace it for this one because I decided to be happier. Plus, I think I was giving people the wrong impression that I was a bad person with nothing good to say about life. That's a lie. Christmas really is great and I enjoy it more and more each day. I was having a little bit of a grouchy week that week. :)

Even driving in the snow wasn't bad today because we have new tires and new windshield wipers. See, already so many things to be grateful for in life!

Hair Dilemma

Alright...I'm come to a point where I'm not sure what actually looks good or bad when it comes to little Eden's hair. I mean, the poor girl has got LOVELY hair...just in weird spurts on her head. A REALLY long tuft of hair in the front, pretty long spots in the back, pretty short on the sides, and a bald spot in back....

So, I would like you all to VOTE in my comments and tell me what I should do. (This may be a shameful thing I'm doing as this may show how FEW PEOPLE actually read my blog!) But I could sure use the help!

Tribute to Eden

This is an update on Eden and all the things she does nowadays. I can't believe 6 months have already passed...she's getting bigger every day (trust me, I have to rotate her clothes almost DAILY to get things that fit her).

Biggest Accomplishments:
1. Eating solids (favorites: rice cereal, bread, and cold water)
2. Graduated from the Pacifier
3. Says "Mom" (only when she needs me in the middle of the night usually)
4. Sits up by herself
5. Puts herself to sleep
6. Drinks through a straw
7. ...and this random trick she likes to do...scrunching her nose and sniffing. I hope you can see it well...it was the best I could get on camera. I think it's funny but better in real life.

Basically, I love having a baby. She's the cutest thing in the world (I'm sure I'm bias just like all the other mothers out there). But really Eden has been a really great baby from day one and I love her so very much!

Where to Begin...

OK...I don't really know where to begin. I mean, I kind of think of a blog as an online journal. So, this is me...from the beginning....

Once upon a time two people fell in love and got married.

They started a family...the youngest was Bethany.

Bethany always dreamed about finding her Prince Charming and starting a family of her own.

Then she met Tyson...and they fell in love. *awww*

....And they got married.

....And had a baby.

....And she's a cute and happy baby.

THE END
