Blogging with Children

I had a great vacation and I was so happy to see family, bless Leila, have extra help with the baby, and get away from "real life" for awhile.

But on the other hand...

Why its nice to be back home from vacation...

Drive from Missouri to Utah

Drive back and forth between family and in-laws

Drive from Utah to Oregon

Drive to different tourist attractions in Oregon

Drive back to Utah from Oregon

Drive back and forth between family and in-laws

Drive to campground site past Heber

Drive home from campground site

Drive to airport

Fly home.

A few things I now understand now that I'm back home...

1. Why bloggers often are slower to update their blogs after having a baby.
2. What its like to have a baby who wants to be held all the time.
3. Vacations really can mess with you and children's schedules.
4. Even the best of toddlers can instantly hit the "terrible twos".

So, to sum it all up....perhaps I'll become a better blogger once my life gets back to normal and my children decide to let me have a few moments to myself...

Hmm...this may be my last blog...

p.s. I'm assuming that EVERYONE can see that annoyance in the middle my blog that says my picture or video has been deleted (or something like that). Anyone know how to get rid of it?

Leila's Baby Blessing

Leila's blessing was on Sunday. She's four weeks old and already so much bigger than when she was born. She smiles (mostly for her daddy) and likes to be held. Tyson and I are so happy to have her in our family.

The Newest Member of the Family

Leila Anne Finlinson was born this morning at 7:54AM! (6/16/2010) She weighed 6lbs and 9oz and was 18 inches long. Both her and her mom are doing great!

Before the Baby Comes

Our little family decided to go out together on one of our last ever "family of three" outings.

We decided to go to the money museum which was fun (it was also not a large museum which worked out for the best with me and my big belly and a 2 year old).
Next to $40 million dollars....
Eden is as big as $1 million. (p.s. we decided to just go without doing Eden's hair...thus the "mop on the head" look.)
After the museum, we went to Costco (which is one of Eden's favorite stores) and to a few other stores to get some last minute odds and ends. This included a little stuffed animal llama that Eden got for her baby sister as a present (she picked it out).

Right now Tyson and I are taking a break from running around while Eden is FINALLY down for a nap (now that its 6 p.m.)....but I've got a list of things that needs to be done still....

"To Do" list:

• Clean house
• Buy baby diapers (forgot those while we were out)
• Meal plan and grocery shop
• Do some laundry
• Mow the lawn
• Pack "last minute) items in hospital bag
  

I'm ready to have this baby. Wish me luck!
